Lars Monsen Vidda Xtrem Mosquito and tick spray 50% DEET Spray provides protection against mosquitoes and ticks, and the mosquito-borne diseases malaria, dengue fever, chikungunya, zika virus, yellow fever, West Nile fever and Lyme disease. Protects for nine to ten hours against mosquitoes and up to five hours against ticks. The product is therefore equally suitable for fishing or hunting trips in Norwegian nature as a travel companion in tropical areas. We quote Lars Monsen himself: This is the strongest and most effective insecticide I use under the most challenging conditions, when the mosquito cloud is densest, and in forests with a lot of ticks.

USE
Apply the agent sparingly and thoroughly to uncovered body parts, and spread the product evenly over the skin. Wear long trousers and/or long-sleeved garments. Do not use under clothing. Keep the nozzle at least 15 cm away from the skin when using. Do not use the product in places where bending of joints and skin is normal, e.g. the product must not be applied to the knees and the elbow joint. To protect the face from bites, the agent is first sprayed on the hands, and then spread on the face. Do not spray directly on the face. When the product is used in combination with sunscreen, the sunscreen is applied first. Then wait 30 minutes before applying the product.

INGREDIENTS
Active substances: N,N-diethyl-m-toluamide (DEET) 48.8% w/w (CAS 134-62-3), ethanol 50% w/w (CAS 64-17-5).

WARNING
Do not use on children under 18 years of age. The product should only be applied once per day. It is not recommended that the product be used by vulnerable groups such as pregnant women and women who are breastfeeding. Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes, nose, lips and damaged skin. Avoid the product coming into contact with food and drink. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before eating or drinking. Wash the treated skin when protection against mosquitoes and ticks is no longer necessary, or if irritation occurs. Avoid contact with synthetic materials (e.g. eyeglass frames), synthetic/leather clothing and lacquered surfaces.
